Brent Mason (and Vince Gill) - Don’t Try This At Home
My dad was always really adamant about being well rounded as a musician. “Listen to everything, you can learn from anyone”, he was insistant that country guitar players were some of the best…but country music is for rednecks right? songs about dogs and pickup trucks. I’ve looked for figures as to how many records he’s played on it looks to be somewhere around a thousand…think about that for a second, one thousand records (I’ve heard reports that it’s closer to 1,500) which at least as far as I know would make him the most prolific musician of all time. Fan of country music or not (I now am), what this dude is capable of and has already accomplished is incredible. Here is a video of Brent and Vince Gill playing some shit you can’t even fathom
