Sleep Well When You Get There
Today the music scene lost something truly special.
For the last few years I have been a huge fan of the band Monument, Monument, I heard about them through Fireworks and checked out their record Call Off The Roses. I immediately loved them, they didn’t sound like anyone I’d heard before, and immediately went in to a pretty regular rotation on my iPod, and since I that day, anytime someone has asked me to send them some new bands to check out, they have been one of my favorite bands to recommend to people. Tonight I found out they were not going to be actively pursuing playing in the band anymore. I never got to see them live which is a bummer, but I just wanted to take a second to thank them for the music they made and tell the internet about this band who made music that is really great, but they might not have heard of.
On the upside, they did post three new songs on their website, as well as their last record for free download on their website.
So if you are curious about this band, I implore you to go check them out, download their songs, then you can be as bummed out as I am that they aren’t going to actively around anymore
