Proud Of The Scene I Come From
So a few days ago I posted about a severely injured kitten named Bonnie who was found not far from where I live, and about the shelter that a good friend works at who are doing everything in their power to save her life. I asked some friends to re-post about it on tumblr, twitter, and facebook in order to get some donations for the shelter to help with the cost of Bonnie’s care, thinking we would raise a few hundred dollars. Well, currently we’ve raised over $700 for the shelter, and sure they need considerably more than that and in the grand scheme of things I suppose $700 is not really that much money, but when you consider that it mostly came in donations of less than $20, it becomes clear that there has been a huge outpouring of support. So I wanted to take a second and thank the bands and websites who have helped spread the word about Bonnie and Mid Hudson Animal Aid and ask that anyone who read this please check out my previous posts and donate, then go check out some of these great bands and people who came through because they understand that this is a community and that we can accomplish a lot when we work together.
